Today, we received confirmation from the Department that, subject to a medical clearance and police checks, an African man from Sierra Leone would be granted a partner visa sponsored by his Australian citizen partner.

Ms S was appealing (seeking judicial review of) a decision of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to affirm the decision of the Minister to refuse to grant her a permanent Partner (Subclass 100) visa.

Question: How do you lose your Partner visa at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) when you are in a genuine relationship and there is no reason why you should not be granted such a visa?
