Today, we received confirmation from the Department that, subject to a medical clearance and police checks, an African man from Sierra Leone would be granted a partner visa sponsored by his Australian citizen partner.

An Indian businessman, sponsored by his Australian citizen wife, applied for a partner visa.  The couple had just shared the personal loss of their first child and wanted to continue their life together in Australia permanently and create a family.  

Ms S was appealing (seeking judicial review of) a decision of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to affirm the decision of the Minister to refuse to grant her a permanent Partner (Subclass 100) visa.
